Affectionately known as North Gong, this place caters to all. There are rock pools, shallows to wade in, and good surf breaks, right next to grass, shade and picnic booths. Stuart park is just down the Blue Mile providing an amazing playground to wear the kids out, with a flying fox, 3 slide tower, cubby house, kids mini road bike/scooter track with signs and much more.
If you like swimming all year round then living close to the North Wollongong Beach is a must as it is always patrolled. In addition to this, there are numerous events hosted on the beach including the NSW leg of the Beach Netball Festival as well as the Ocean Six Series, and wait til you see the New Year’s Eve Fireworks. Just spectacular!
Dog’s are not allowed on the North Wollongong Beach, however the lagoon at the north has a designated off-leash area. Dog’s are permitted on the walkways and cycle tracks.
